New Members

If you are a newly hired coach, there are some important steps you can take right away to help your transition into the new position.

  1. Visit the Contacts page to find out who your conference representative is.  They can update your contact info, and keep you updated on what is going on in the state.
  2. Join the CCCSCA, the coaches association for California JC soccer coaches.  You can go to the Forms page to download the application form.
  3. Those forms should be sent to our Treasurer.  At the moment, that is Josh Bradley, men's coach at San Joaquin Delta College.
  4. Look over the Championship Handbook for Soccer. It contains vital information, including forms you need to have filled out in order to qualify for playoffs.
  5. Make sure you know how to enter your scores at the CCCAA State site.  Your athletic director can advise you on this, but so can other coaches.
  6. Plan on attending your conference, regional, and state meetings.  Conference and regional meetings are on the first Sunday and Monday after the end of the regular season respectively.  The state meetings is at the state championships, on the first Saturday of December at the site of the championships.
  7. Familiarize yourself with the Bylaws of the association.  This will explain how things work on the state level.
  8. Read the CCCAA state Constitution and Bylaws.  This will have all rules regarding recruiting, and what's allowed or not allowed in general.
